That was actually really really good. I want more! At each chapter break I wanted more from that point in time, but immediately got caught up in the goings-on of the next one.
I need a sequel! The presence of the unexpected third race was also incredibly intriguing. Formless in nature, the fact that the suspect a fourth “higher life form” is fascinating! Perhaps what humans perceive as gods?

It seems like it’s humanity’s intention to physically travel to this 300 light year-away civilization, so I wonder how they’re going to achieve that…

It’s moving along pretty well so far. I really was not the biggest fan of the first chapter as i just didn’t feel that it was a realistic interpretation of how chief White House operatives would react in such a situation, but since moving on from that, I’ve really enjoyed it.
The part with the linguists cracking the code in 2039, and now jumping to the 2100s with Captain Jaken are really fascinating.
