Ah yes. Back to Dandi Donuts. Donuts at Dandis. Is Dandi Donuts a real place? No--but there is a Daddy's Donuts.

This guy will just drop to the ground and sleep anywhere. Well, it's less that he's sleeping and rather sleep hitting him so strongly he immediately plops down for a nap.

Also he's a total creep right? I can't tell if he's meant to be this awful, accidentally awful, or if this is just how Laymen writes. Still only my first book of his.

The old lady won the fight and stole his bag.

And now the guy is fighting a grandma

I liked this passage. "Still no traffic, no people. Only the shadows moved. And the limbs of the trees. And the leaves in the tree. And the leaves that had fallen off and were blowing through the night, some flying by as if on a mission, some skidding and tumbling along the pavement."

How does a guy who loves walking outside at night get so lost so quickly.

He does not care about Eileen at all...

"Behind my back, Eileen grunted with shock and despair and horror as if she'd just watched a Panda get beheaded."

Wow, that's so out of place given the context of the scene... they go back under the bridge where the men had assaulted them, and they witnessed those men eating a corpse.

I think this is the first 'sex fight' I've ever read...

Okay it was a dream...

It's hard to tell because the protagonist is already so delusional.

I'll be honest. I'm not entirely sure what is going on but it's very strange.

Every time I open this book I'm reading about Dani Donuts...

"My genitals started to unshrivel. Rapidly."
These sexual scenes are not so appealing...

My God he loves talking about Dandi Donuts

So far, the protagonist has been dumped by his girlfriend and is now "technically not stalking" a young girl who is walking home. He has this distorted views where he's actions are actually heroic on considerate, and it's almost relatable as an everyday thought but... It's uncomfortable to read from this perspective. Not sure if I like him yet.
