Miranda decides to leave to the post office and hope for a letter from her dad despite the flu wiping everyone out. And also hopes if she dies soon it’ll be out of sight of her family. But instead she finds a flyer. They’re giving out a bag of food every week for anyone living. So she goes and they give her a ride home, after confirming her family is well and alive they start handing them food. Miranda is 17 now
