I still don’t like Vida, but I might be starting to understand her.

Beautiful writing, as usual. But I don’t like any of these characters. It’s a struggle to stay with it. Because Hardy’s “Tess” plays a significant role and I’ve never read that Hardy, I’ve picked it up as well. At this point, finally reading “Tess” is the highlight of this book.
