One advice I'd give to the main character of my book is to tell her friend what is wrong with her.

„In this, an endless whiteness, I feel my son. I feel Salahudin.“

„A mother carries her child’s innocence in her memory. No matter who they become. We carry our hopes and dreams for them and such things are woven into our souls as God is woven into the fibers of this earth.“

The dialogue sounds real and it serves the purpose of letting the reader know what the characters are going through at that point in time. It also shows how close the main characters were six months ago.
