...what the fuck. People steal bikes and ditch them when they get flats???! Because the 19 people left in a zombie apocalypse are apparently breaking into bike shops??? This world has not been thought through at all and it's driving me insane

Also quite bad at creating tension-racer takes 9 minutes to pee, gets on the train, and no one says? Also trains are loud AF. Somehow the trains don't bring zombies? Nor does all the yelling? And the thing about the horses makes NO sense. Why are they not allowed? And how big is auger???? He's not a fucking draft.

Brutal to try to finish. Lots of pacing issues. The main character is rude. The author did no survival research. Shoe horns queer history in in an unfun way. Can't decide on the personality and values of the main character: she sucks overall

....and who rides their horses to the feedstore??? And why??? Wtf are you getting at the feedstore on HORSEBACK???

This is driving me nuts, absolutely bonkers. I know this is a YA novel but...google exists!!!

I am finding the lack of survival research on the authors part to be extremely annoying. Putting "new" shoes on 2 horses for no reason, a 6'6 270 pound person riding a mustang, the initial killing of the chicken.....these characters might be survivalists but the author sure aint

Okay, IMMEDIATE irritation: if they are so hungry why did they kill the hen in the beginning??? Hens produce food on the regs, you idiot author.....
