Status Updates From Blanche: The Rise of Grimdark

I love that for all the problems he's had health-wise John hasn't allowed that to get in the way of doing what he loves. I wish I could manage that

I love these little insights from people who worked with him, especially since these are people I have more of a memory of than some of the others

This is getting more into the time I first got into Warhammer so it's a fun bit of nostalgia.

Also, I love the idea of paying your rent with creative work, not sure that'd work now.

That selection of images was a fun little nostalgia trip for me, considering how many of them I remember from my childhood/early teens

Don't get me wrong, it's great reading about John's journey (I never realized he'd visited the Isle of Wight Festival), but it's amazing seeing his early art I'd never seen before too

I appreciate that John's so willing to discuss how grim his childhood is, I can't imagine many of those memories were easy to dredge back up

I love these stories about John, especially because I genuinely never knew that he'd drawn Lord of the Rings art too

I'm looking forward to reading this
