I like Wassim story better. As Hussam's life decision making is painful to read, he dealt with his trauma thru the trifecta drugs, s*x and alcohol.

Like, it's both sad and not at the same time. It's sad because "we already told him that" indicates that he's been dead to them for a while, likely bc he was gay and ran off. But not sad as well because this is freeing in a sense; Wassim no longer has to worry about what his dad thinks or if his dad is looking for him. This is almost a rebirth
