Ohohoho I hope this is turning into working with your ex (who is also still magically bound to you as your husband and wants to kill you) because the man you thought you could trust ALSO wants to kill you, and also your current husband’s sister.

I cannot tell if I am too stupid to understand the magic system, or if the author doesn't understand their own magic system and that's why everything comes across as vague.
