I don't believe that someone's essential self can be changed like this.

That's something that really bothers me about the world building in this book.

Why can't any of them work together!? If they would compare notes they may just figure out the true villains and I would have more hope! I'm pretty sure that the book will end on a cliffhanger.

I adore these two together. If they could both talk through it all, I know they'll be unstoppable. Stop working so hard to protect each other and trust that the other is able to make adult decisions.

But they are both so loving and trying so hard.
