Status Updates From The Road to Roswell

of 80 pages the narrator has been not inside of a car for approximately 5 of them

she's gonna fuck the alien, right? RIGHT????

i feel like the plot is not developing at all. 1/4 of the way through the book and we know almost nothing, have gathered a basically useless cast of characters who just sit around and hypothesize for too long on the motives of the alien, and somehow the wedding is still the highest priority in the book for a character that is not even attending the wedding. i just feel at this point something should be happening?
