Status Updates From Husbands & Lovers: A Novel

Really hoping I can read this with a fresh perspective soon and not the tired brain I’ve got going on, because I know this has potential and I don’t want to DNF it.

For a while we just sat there on the wall, side by side, paying tribute to the people we could have loved, if we hadn’t belonged to each other. The setting sun painted the horizon. I remember thinking how strange it was to feel sad in the middle of so much happiness, how you couldn’t just experience joy all by itself without feeling as if you had somehow stolen it from somewhere else.
