I’m just hate-reading it at this point. This is laughably bad. And disrespectful, frankly. Power Rangers deserved better.

I absolutely cannot stand what this author has done to Trini as a character. There are so many other creative ways she could have created doubt and inner conflict and tension. What she chose to do instead made NO SENSE when it started, and now 153 pages in, it’s downright nonsensical. I can’t believe how close I am to DNF’ing this. I was so excited for this book.

Parts of this have been really cool so far. Some of it hokey, which I can handle because of what it is. But honestly, Trini is so poorly written as a lead POV character in this that it’s honestly embarrassing. She deserves better.

I need Zordon to do his thing and get these kods with attitude to become rangers as I'm struggling to stay engaged. The thing is, I recently saw MMPR so I'm comparing these depictions of the characters to the ones from the show and it just isn't mixing well for me.
