Update: not a typo just the first sign of the dialect this is being written in nearly a page after it started which isn't wrong but does feel like the author changed their mind midway through writing about whether she wanted to write in dialect or not

I think that was a typo and it was meant to be "no she was not" and not "yo she was not"

We are finally getting to some people with shit experiences with periods but it's still mostly deeply mythologizing

Okay well she warned me this one would be gross but I kinda thought it would be in a "gross details" way and not in a "I find my period shits to be satisfying" way

I think that one was fiction and idk man writing a fiction piece about buying a menstrual cup is just kinda weird

60 milliliters a cycle sounds way too low but on the other hand I don't have a healthy cycle

It's actually somehow MORE uncomfortable to see a disabled cis woman do the exact same like mythologizing of menstruation

Now I can't do menstrual cups because I can't do penetration of any sort but this is the SECOND piece about Losing A Menstrual Cup Inside Your Body and I

I don't think the ER would have any issue with breaking your hymen if they had to but also they have better tools than the urgent care at the ER so no, not surgery, probably forceps

Okay well in my experience it's usually not the doctor who calls you to the back at the urgent care

I asked my cis brother (who I don't really get along with) to pick me up a box of pads ONE time, and he FaceTimed me in the store (something he hates doing) to make sure he got the right box.
If a cis man cares about you even an iota when you ask him to get you menstrual hygiene products he will make an effort. The lack of effort is not a "man" thing. It's a Not Caring thing.

Sorry but your boyfriend bringing you three random boxes of tampons is not him guessing what you meant, it's him not caring about you.
It's weaponised incompetence and him being too lazy to read the boxes.
It's not cute, and it's frankly gross to pretend it's a cute man thing
