Status Updates From Praying Outside

give yourself to slow walks with God like you give yourself to your goals. give yourself to prayer like you give yourself to planning, because in the giving is the receiving.

Perhaps location & circumstance
have nothing to do with our worship
in the light or in the dark
we will find him worthy

even in the most forsaken places
God is faithful to find
us not because we are worthy
but because He is kind
for our sake
& for His glory
He offers living water
to parched hearts
& a relationship
not built on our striving
but on His mercy

BIRDSONGS OVER QUESTIONS — I would much rather listen to the starling sing than give in to the noisy thoughts asking : how can it happen, when will it happen, why did it happen. in their birdsong I find something, I find Someone who lulls me to sleep, who wakes me with joy, who beckons me to dance & join in the melody.

SEEING LIKE HIM — if we could see like Jesus I think it would change the world for us we might see butterflies swinging their wings like flags of praise & blades of grass lifting their bodies to thank God for another day we might even see ourselves in the stream unrecognizable without our cloudy thoughts the reflection looking back at us shines forgiven, redeemed & clothed in Christ’s righteousness.
