The main character is much better now that she has gotten several things sorted out, but she is STILL wallowing in self pity CONSTANTLY.

Say it once, reminisce a couple times, make a cold, snarky joke about it occasionally, then be done.

So far, I can't see too many similarities to HP, but I like the academic aspect, so far at least, and it's a lot like a different series I like, Legends of Lotus Island. The main character isn't particularly spectacular, but I am excited to see what her magical ability is. I feel like the author focuses too much on how she never stayed in one place and doesn't have a proper education and all that stuff.
