Builds on the idea Pratchett first introduced way back in The Colour of Magic - a camera that works by tiny imps quickly painting what they see out of the camera's front window. In this story, movies have been invented, filmed by a team of imps quickly painting multiple frames of what they see through the movie camera front window - frames which are projected using a back-lit fire salamander.
