Just read the greed chapter and it annoyed me/icked me out… “we can all resist the temptation of greed […] To save our planet we can stop thoughtless waste. We can recycle…”
Back and forth between the idea of greed embedded in capitalism/imperialism vs the framing of greed as something that can be combatted individually for the sake of the love ethic?? Idk felt like she missed the mark :/

just finished chapter on Commitment and it might’ve actually been my favourite so far. Reading a chapter how important it is to try to put your all in loving work despite how hard that may be was tooo relatable but I appreciate how Bell has put it. this book is just sooo good!😍

What is the point of this book?

Still on chapter 7: money is the root of all evil. People with money feel they have power over those who dont. This greed for power and money leaves no space for love to be present. Greed comes in many forms, theres money, power, materialism, privilege etc. We just need to let love in and remember we are all human. We need to share resources and act more as a community. “Living simply makes loving simple.” ~hooks
