Status Updates From Stage Fright

The evil spirit had also messed with Maddie it was very demented it was the spirit from the skull. They all went back to take it in for the last time and now it was reboarded up and now there was a fense around the place that it was now condemned that no one should enter there was now plans to demolish it soon. There was also a memorial nearby for Maddie they thanked her for helping them and glad to be alive.

Turns out Maddie had been helping them the whole time she wasn't the one messing with them. The skull could have come from a witch as it mentioned it didn't like kids. When the boys came out they didn't remember any of the things that happened when they were possessed. Paige was ok no one had life-threatening serious injuries they could have been if they didn't escape when they did...

Wow what an exciting chapter Avery got smart and remembered the matches she had seen earlier in the office and grabbed some paper and hand sanitizer and used them to burn the skull. This was her moment of triumph. It worked before the ghost got into her as her fear was fire she kept going along the catwalk to burn the skull. The smoke went up in the vents, and they raced to the front and were met by firefighters.

The skull was messing with them messing with Avery now. This wasnt good now Paige was hurt Jaylen and Tyler were out of their minds. It was the skull feeding on their innermost fears. Avery told Paige not to touch the skull. This was what was happening the ghost was getting into their heads only because they touched the skull it was now up to Avery to figure this out how they were going to escape the theatre.

That her parents were divorcing something she never told Avery because she always talked about herself, and now Avery was feeling the guilt. She also mentioned she feels the ghost is talking through the boys. Suddenly they hear something coming out of the bathroom quietly as they come out something was wrong the skull appeared in front of them.

You feel like you are there with the characters. The girls sneak off the bathroom and end up in the men's there was something off about the women's. They get there and Avery and Paige start talking she says she's had enough of this place and she wants to leave. She starts accusing Avery that this was all her fault and that she talks to Bethany now because she wouldn't listen...

Out of nowhere they noticed that the skull that was on the stage had moved to where they were sitting in a different room who had moved it. They grabbed it and put it in a locker, and closed it. Now Jaylen and Tyler were not being them selves. Tyler was talking as if the walls were closing in on them that they were supposedly moving. They moved back to the stage to be where the light was for safety.

Avery was in charge of making Jaylen was ok she was distracting herself she had found a program when the place was in use. Inside was an actress, a lady on stage Maddie's mom. Near the curtain was Maddie. She didn't look like someone who was scary. It was then that Jaylen was talking as if they would never get out of the theater that the rats would get them. He was saying other things that scared Avery, who was he?

What a chapter now. One of them is seriously hurt after Jaylen falls into the hole in the stage and hurts his leg badly. He said he was hearing rats, and that's when he fell in. They tried to get him to a comfortable place while they try to set off alarms in the place to get some sort of help they tried, but nothing happened. Now, they needed to find another way to get help.

A chapter of their pact together that they would all be friends and not anything else as a couple of them had kissed each other, and that wasn't cool with a few of them. Right at the end they were seeing if they could get service on their phones but it failed. They headed back to trying to get the lights on and the ghost light was flickering and the ghost came back for a bit then was gone. Jaylen fell in the hole.

Still trying to escape the place there was nowhere to go but up they found another room
if they ever had to stay overnight, which they were not looking forward to so they were continuing their mission on getting out of there. They headed to the inner top of the building one of their phones had to have service up higher. As of right now they were using their phones for lights. They tried the breakers but nothing.

So much is happening they want to escape the theatre so they go down to the front of the theater and realize the doors are glass so they get a bench and try to break the glass so they can push out the wood blocking the way out they try its so thick it doesn't break. They realize it has a key they find an office to find a key to open it no luck. They end up going back to the ghost light so they are not in the dark.

They now were all freaking out because the ghost told them to leave they were looking for ways out. This place was nearly boarded up. Avery was scared. The door they had propped open before was now shut in the crazy escape they tried to go through, and it ended up shutting on them. They get the ghost light on so they could now see, but something else caught their attention, a glowing floating skull in the air.

Setting everything up as they walking onto the stage just below where the little girl Maddie fell to her death, they held the seance. The figure they saw wasn't a man it was a mannequin Nothing happened for a little bit until Maddie showed herself on the catwalk just above
where they were sitting. It seemed like they
were watching how she fell over the railing
in the eerie color of light as her spirit fell.

The kids finally make their way to the building in the dark and Avery is the last to make it in after climbing the fence up and over to get into the place and pulling off the board that barricaded the window. It was time to see what was in this place, not before catching a man inside with an arc of their light. Who was he?

The turning point in the book the kids and Avery are getting ready for the seance to contact Maddie. They were just reminiscing about the old times when they were younger. As dawn was about to hit thats when they were getting ready to walk out to the theater building in the woods. Some of them were scared, but it was their last detective Club mission. It was time for the scene to begin.

This was an unusual chapter of filler until the end. Avery friends lives seemed to be moving on hers didn't seem like it was. They were trying to plan something to do, and she was bringing up the stuff they used to do as kids. They were all different now. She was the one who moved away to a big city. It wasn't until she brought up that they should go to the boarded up theater and talk to Maddie outside of it.

Wow betrayal. The one person Avery had as a best friend Paige didn't come get her from the airport because she was at the mall with her bully in school Bethany all those years ago.
They were almost like best friends now and
she couldn't believe it. It devastated Avery. The place she came back to had changed where she used to live was different now. Her house, all those years ago was repainted it was different now.
