okay she's coming around for me but lowkey why did the kiss feel so random T_T i thought they were going to PRETEND or smt but full on just kissed at the party!!

it's definitely not just me, but the cultural rejection is really hurting me. i know asian americans might want to fit in more with their american counterparts but hannah has such a disdain for her korean culture that it really just pains me. it's a little frustrating to read because of this.

Side thought - what exactly is Jacob's mom doing to find a job of her own so her teenage son doesn't have to give up all his joy and freedom to support the family?

I appreciate Hannah's mom trying to cheer her up, but I do think it reflects on the father's love if he's able to just basically abandon his family for work, and I do think its risky to encourage your 17 yo daughter to commit herself to a long distance relationship with someone who has to fake date other women...
