Oooooh. This “poor me. Why did no one ask me how I was feeling when I was forcing my wife to do IVF that she obviously didn’t want to do, but I’m such a good guy and I have no idea why she would ever leave me” guy is a mvrderer. That tracks. I really may DNF this book.

I do not trust this male characters POV. It’s all very: “I’m a good guy. I’ve never done anything wrong.” And he gives me The Ick. I don’t trust him. I don’t like him. I have creepy-crawlies up and down my spine and I am so about to DNF this book.
