Good character development, more information about the magic system. I predicted the plot & this book didn’t have as good of an ending.

EXCUSE ME?!? That twist was absolutely diabolical!

Zodiac Fate: 3.5/5 much better than the prequel. The military aspects, magic system, & exploration of morals was a definite improvement. It also definitely got “the feels” working- this author does not shy away from controversies, power imbalances, abuse, mental health challenges, & other topics that might be considered “triggering”. Looking forward to book 2 of MC understanding & embracing her abilities!

Finished the prequel - 3/5 stars. The formatting is distracting, every time there is a quotation mark starting a new line, there is a smudge. I found the world building lacking, characters rushed, and overall writing style one dimensional. I don’t feel invested in the story, if the series didn’t receive overall high reviews - I wouldn’t have continued reading this.

Completed the first book in the series which is a Prequel. Zodiac Shadows introduces us to our FMC Sasha. I enjoyed this intro to the FMC, her world and other characters that I hope to see more of throughout the series. I’m already over Omar and I’m hoping to see more of Elio as I hope there’s more to see with him and Sasha’s friendship.

8 chapters into book one & its such a page turner. Gonna read a few more chapters tonight. So glad Sasha walked through the shadows with no fear at all. The confidence! I love it!

Finished Prequel and Book 1 so far!

Book two was okay. I cried at the end, thinking the worst, but luckily it was just me going ahead of myself. A few spelling mistakes, and a few typos, but I'm determined to finish it. The book is good, and these books needs to be read!
