Status Updates From The Philosophy of Redemption

Finally found the time to devote towards this challenging text. The first chapter on Analytics requires one to have some familiarity with ideas posited by Kant and Schopenhauer, in particular, the “thing-in-itself” and the “will to life” are central ideas analyzed here. The second chapter regarding Mainländer’s conception of Physics further investigates the “will to life” in several respects.

Is beauty truly objective and universal? Or merely the striving toward one’s notion of beauty?

I'm probably lacking the background in German philosophy and specifically Schopenhauer to really understand exactly what he's getting at so far
