Im back to being hooked in this story. The Changeling and the Sword and all of upgrades and strength Archeth has gained! Everything with the royals and the cabals and humans trying to find a new king/queen and the Dwenda trying to bring back the Changeling prince. So so so much happening. The Helmsmen being evil and apparently Still hiding their true power. The Dark Court also having their own goals. A new god???

Still upset about Egar…there’s GOT to be more to it than that. He died in the Kiriath Wastes in the old Aldrain city, maybe that means something.

I keep coming in and out with this. Im into it and loving the lore and then I get out of it and Im disinterested. That first book had me HOOKED, idk what the specific change is. Gotta finish this though.

Least we’re finally getting real answers out of the helmsmen, Anasharal only being a PIECE of a helmsman this whole time was wild. And for a while I thought they were like AI but theyre actually DEMONS, crazy work Mr K Morgan.

First of all Gil and Hjel, sex scene. Hot. Into it.

We’ve talked about time travel and the way its perception is different in the grey places, Hjel might be training Gil to be the very thing that destroyed/destroys his family. And these jars? The jars Gil found in the grey places ARE the talons of the sun, the weapon no one was actuaaly seen.

The audiobook really did all of Gil’s men dirty. Noyal is supposed to be a younger than Gil and is described as like “princely” and VA puts on the weirdest old man smoker voice and now Gil saw Milencar again and its truly a decrepit crackly old voice like wtf? Im so confused why that choice was made but its pissing me off.

There is So Much Happening. I love the helmsmen still, the fucking war helm is horrifying and I love him. Finally got a real explanation on Ringil and Hjel meeting but not knowing each other yet, fucking time travel shit. We have gods, ancient Fae, parallel dimensions, time travel/twisting, magical illusions, and basic political warfare. My brain is a mess. This man built a WORLD here and it is vast and intricate.
