Status Updates From Lessons in Timing

这本简直就是买一送一啊：四个视角两对CP，每个人都有 trauma: alcoholic with social anxiety disorder (and an ex-stripper? isn't it a bit too much?); toxic relationship/eating disorder; bullying; and (sexual?) identity crisis，非常符合这年头没有点创伤就当不了 rom-com 主角的惯例。优点是文笔幽默且相当丝滑，四个第一人称叙述互不串味；缺点是要素过多，人设和情节安排过于刻意， adult romance 硬是又塞了一本 NA romance，不懂为什么不干脆写成两本书。只能说作者太客气了，非要让我们体会连吃带拿的快乐。

I like this a lot. Ace guy confirmed. No new wordcrimes. We just had class on a Saturday, followed by another Saturday though.

No real unpardonable word crimes since the last update. I like it. Two couples in the works. Maybe one ace guy? Is that why I own this? It's one of my rare preorders from a new author and I have no recollection of why I preordered it. 1st person switching between all 4 of them and no trouble at all keeping them straight so good job on voice.

So... the voice here is charming, delightful, and then all of the sudden there'll be an absolutely stunning, WOAH! STOP THE BOOK level wtf word choice. 4 of them so far. Besides the mangled idiom on page 1, we've had "Norsemen University" (in L.A.), "DQ comic con" DQ? Fucking Dairy Queen's holding comic conventions now? Adult man calling his college age son "honey". WTF

Ok, I'm ignoring the egregious mutilation of an idiomatic expression at the end of the second paragraph and giving this ago. Cross your fingers :)

I wish I could skip Robin’s chapters

The British character in this book says ‘aye’ every single sentence. Do people actually think we talk like that? 😭

Surely by 23% it should be clear who the love interests are 🥲
