Got a lot of reading done at the doctor's office. He was hung up at the hospital and then stuck in traffic. I hope this isn't a sign. :-P

I could overlook the more-or-less instant love in The Worst Best Luck, but the back-to-back chapters on Peter and Matt's teen years are a slog, so I decided to take a few days off. It's hard to work up excitement for the diary of a poor little rich kid, especially when his background does so much to undermine the idea that working with one's hands says nothing about one's intellectual capacity.
