Status Updates From Awake (Rise of the Red Claw...

(Finished — November 18th — Chapter 25–32 & Epilogue) It's such a shame, it could have been so good. On top of the weak (practically nonexistent) relationship development, the nonsensical logistics of that fight scene, and the overall immature prose, it seemed like it was only corrected with a spelling checker, because there were so many typos that were actual words, especially in the last third or so. (November 16th — Chapter 17–24) It's such a shame when a story has decent potential, but then steadily declines in quality. (As always, no spoilers.) I wasn't going to say anything until I'd finished it, but that fight scene was a disaster. It's like it was rewritten partway through, and the first part wasn't changed to match the second. It made zero logistical sense. I was thinking 3 stars, but now I'm thinking 2.

(November 9th — Chapter 11–12) Tiny little chapters, so they barely made a dent, but I wasn't able to read more. xP

(November 7th — Chapter 10 (I wasn't able to finish it yesterday, so I finished it today and counted it for yesterday, since I don't stop in the middle of a chapter.))

(November 5th — Chapter 8–9) Since when have jumping jacks been called star jumps? o_O (Assuming that that's what she meant...) Anywho, yeah, sadly, quite a few less-than-intelligent phrasings and word usages and things that don't really make sense, but the story is compelling enough for me to enjoy it, so far.
