I really wanted to love The Silence of Flesh—I’ve enjoyed Glenn Cooper’s work in the past. But this one’s been tough. The pacing is slow, the writing isn’t as sharp as I remember, and I’m just not connecting. Not quite ready to DNF, but I’m really hoping for a turnaround soon. Fingers crossed.
