hoo boy well all right . . . this is still an epic retelling except the definitely new-adult scenes that I'm 70% unimpressed by

oof yes this really has been the messed up, perfect retelling I've been craving

yes yes YES this is the kind of Peter-centric retelling I've been craving . . . and while not as Neverland-centric, I am still highly enjoying this

“How dare you?” I spit. James blinks, and I step out of the stationary [rowing machine]. “You did this. You broke her heart. She can do whatever the hell she wants. Why do you idiots think it’s okay to hurt us, and we’ll pop along like it doesn’t matter? Why is that okay to you?”

okay never mind this is confirmation enough and also tells me this is probably new-adult bwhahahaha

I love all the strength like this in the book

while the fact that I'm on the ace spectrum appreciates the lack of details, I'd still appreciate some confirmation regarding if frickle-frackle time happened or not :P

idk why I thought this book was gonna be subpar cause yeah it's cliche in some places but wow it's really good??

'Like he has the right to touch me. I snap around and shove him, hard.
“Leave me alone, Peter!” I snarl. “I don’t want you around me. I don’t want to deal with fighting memories.”
“I can’t,” he says, his tone a shade of desperation. “I can’t leave you alone. I’ve tried.”
I give him a bleak smile. “Try harder.”
