This romance is so weird bc it reads as a straight guy misreading his admiration for his gay supervisor. Gay supervisor who was immediately attracted to the newbie bc we have no time for development here

Uuuh the second chapter was a little unexpected, i kind of wanted more drawn out tension instead of insta attraction (even if only one sided)

The out-of-character TSTL attitude is ruining the book. Still interested in the romance, though it was undercut by the original F-buddy encounter being way hotter than the MCs being together. Grr.

Liking the feel of the profiling going on. Well-done investigating, witness interviews, and FBI team interactions. But apparently just hearing his colleague is gay is enough to give the other MC a sexual awakening? Hmm. I'm enjoying it a lot now so carrying on!

Liking the voice/story, but, chapter 2? Really? HOW is having to read every detail of an MC having full-on sex with a non-MC F-buddy romantic? How does this add ANYTHING to this story? I can't unsee his O-face with the non-MC now. Yuck. Gratuitous. Reading on bc MCs haven't connected yet, but, it really put me off.

Wow, these two went from like 20 to 89 real quick. Jon offering Tracey what is essentially a CWB (coworkers with benefits) setup and Tracey agreeing to it is kinda fucked, but I'm thinking it's not going to last.

The real question is, what would happen if they were found out? This book seems fairly realistic, so I don't think some miracle is going to happen, preventing 1 or both of them from getting fired/transfered

This is the first time in a long time I've been immediately excited for a law enforcement murder mystery thriller...thing. idk wtf these things are called, so I pulled a Wish and used all the labels.

I read bi-awakening and knew it was for me. Jon is already such a complex character, like black coffee with hints of nuttiness and cigarette ash. Tracey is freaking adorable. A powdered jelly donut.
