12/18 CHARACTERIZATION(make up for when I was absent): The main character in this story has very low self esteem. I know this because in the story it says “Lucas felt like he could never do anything right.” Although he is a very good kid spy he thinks that everyone else around him is better than him and he constantly has to fight this feeling.

MAKING CONNECTIONS: This book reminds me of other books like Harry Potter and Percy Jackson. Although the characters in this book do not have special superpowers like the characters in Harry Potter and Percy Jackson, they are both fighting bad and trying to do good in the world. Also, all of these books travel in groups of 3 which I instantly made a connection with.
