- I hate this “Be a good little boy” mantra They’re trying to push on Corgan. No! Fight Corgan! Rage against the authoritarians!
- It was interesting to see the start of the worldbuilding as they finally left their building, but it was cut short too quickly.
- Brig is an interesting addition to the team. I know Corgan can’t stand him out of jealousy but I really like him and I think he’s going to be great.

- This feels very Ender’s Game in terms of the war games (but not as complex) and very Ready Player One in terms of the worldbuilding (minus all the fun). And very The Giver in terms of the mysterious overruling authority.
- I like Corgan! I don’t know how I feel about Sharla. She reminds me of Jen from Among the Hidden. Maybe I’ll warm up to her but so far she’s not as endearing as she’s trying to be.

POINT OF VIEW- The point of view Virtual War #1 is 3rd person omniscient. The narrator can describe the characters by feelings and even what they are thinking about, although there is a main character the narrator can switch between one side of the war to another. For example when Michael is in trouble they will switch to the other POV of the bad guys.

Not as fast-moving as the blurbs say and the characters are a little flat so far but still excited to continue.

Not sure, really, if I like this book or not, but it has kept me entertained.

It is so sad almost three fourths of the world got wiped out by different diseases. Now, everybody has to live in metal domes. It is also really cool that the people are getting ready for the virtual war with the other domes.
