Wren is who Maggie and Archer were telling Leo he needed to get over, and Wren is ALSO the new guy, not that Maggie, Archer, or Leo know that. That's also why the author didn't have Wren tell Leo he was sick; Leo would have connected the dots and realized Wren is his anonymous buddy.
