I have finished the first book of the series and may I just say, I did not enjoy it. It may be that because of my original bias, I wasn’t interested enough in the rest of it, but to be honest, the end of the first book just wasn’t compelling enough to make me want to read the next. I do hope that someone else finds this book interesting and exciting. <3

One of my mom’s coworkers said that she gives a book 100 pages, and if she still doesn’t like it, she stops reading it. I got to page 112 (aka the start of part 2 book 1) and can I just say, the plot so far is almost the spitting image of Percy Jackson. Ex: Main character has special powers only a few kids have; He only lives with his mother; His mother gets kidnapped. I MIGHT read on but currently this is a 2/10
