Status Updates From The Black Hunger

The Black Hunger. Gotta give it to NP, he can write like a nineteenth century chap (when he is not repeating himself too much) + the precision of the historical details is unmatched!

Action picking up nicely in the second part - The Red Circle. I still think the first part was TOO drawn out. But we encounter some characters again.

A tad boring yet, as the story is indeed told (like a memoir) by John Sackville. The element of intrigue has been presented (the Black Helmets). Hmmm, much more to go but I already think it could have used better editing.

The prose is giving classical literature style from the days of old, (1800s). So if you are not into that, then this book might not be for you I however do I enjoy that so I am thoroughly enjoying this book.
