The urge to be "scientific"--demonstrating again the divine power of that word--is creating a whole new language paralleling English: sociobabble.

We have to be heroes ourselves, and live by the words, "Thy will be done." After that everything is fun. Turn off the TV and read a book. Play with your children. Start a garden. Write an overdue love letter to your mother and father. Snub a politician. Down with abstract models, down with power, down with Big. Life and love are person to person. Love thy neighbor: even politicians. Get out of yourself and live.

Picked this up off the shelf of the Arizona house. I started reading it and was so infuriated that I couldn't put it down. Written in the late 80s, the book tries to prop up Christianity by pointing out how flawed society was at that time and how evolution is false (hit a nerve). His take downs of science are hilarious now that we have so much more knowledge of microbiology /DNA / etc. / etc.
