I don’t feel any kind of way about the blatant misogyny in this book, but damn it’s outstanding. First Teela, the only female member of the crew, is generally useless and only comes in because she’s “lucky”. She also has sex with Luis. And now another woman shows up and *spoiler* she also has sex with Luis. That’s her whole job in fact, a prostitute. Those are all the women in this story, apparently

Started this bc I love crazy world building. Quickly discovering that larry niven's sexism is Terrible! If it keeps getting worse I may abandon this but as of rn I'm sticking around for the funny alien with mouth hands. sad.

Cool ideas, but weird in its own way and not really my style of sci-fi. DNF after 85 pages.
