come to tgink of it, if both her children are to be tested earlier because of higher magic being strong in both diana's parents, why was she not tested or introduced after it became clear that she's powerful and a weaver? stupid stupid stupid book

they are meant to be all about manners and propriety but i havent seen a single please or thank you uttered by any of the characters. maybe there's a few thank yous but definitely no pleases

why is matthew so against the children learning to deal with their magic? genuinely who tf are these characters? who wrote this book because surely it wasnt rebekkah

there's so many small discrepancies that i cannot believe the sam author wrote this book, from the big ones like dianas character - to ysabeu speaking in a strange stilted way. the writing is clunky and weird to read. why would diana tell matthew to keep to the speed limit when he has the kids in the car? a protective vampire protects his own, that includes driving safely. all these small things add up

it just doesnt make sense at all? 5 pages ago she argued about the congregation, about never spell-binding her children, crying and suffering from her parents hiding magic and family from her but now diana wants to do exactly the same to her children?!!?! make it make sense!

painful.she's realised that the dark ball is not evil but needs compassion; darkness is not evil. her coven elders have explained it to her ca. 50 times as well. the tarot deck has shown it. but still this new braindead diana asks;'if I choose the Dark Path, will I be able to keep Darkness away from my children?' the whole last book was about her kids keeping their autonomy yet she wants to do what her parents did??

i thought diana let go off all her fear in the book of life? why is she ruled by fear again? where is the character i came to love over 4 books? why has she gone back to how she was just at the beginning of the first book of the series! she's completely regressed :(

matthew is tame now. chris has turned into victor frankenstein and is crazed about getting childrens dna because he sees them as test subjects, then he cleverly manipulates the parents by invoking that he's philipp's godfather. diana is an emotional mess who's terrified of magic and cannot think clearly. the academic and powerful witch is gone - only mummy dearest is left
