Dang! So many of the author's conclusions about the effect of the internet on people come from flawed conclusions of research or some other displaced logic. I've started scanning. Lots of interesting points along the way. Will I lose patience? I can't tell.

as someone who fell out of reading because of college and got back into reading in my 20s you know what got me back in the habit? short books and comics. i feel like this guy might be too snobby to read a comic though.

I'm really on the fence about this one. there are some downright prophetic moments in here. but there are also a number of "old man yells at cloud" moments and some really snobby moments too.
