While this story seems to be going exactly where you think it's going from just a few chapters in, the mystery and the romance and the ghost story is so perfectly written it doesn't even matter. Of course, with 20% left to go, this one can take a very twisty turn as most John Inman books often do.

You know...there really aren't many things that are better than a John Inman story...

I am in love!!!!! The sarcasm, the snark, the humor, the little boy Timmy!! Ahhhhhhhhhhh.
I am on a role with good books right now. I know it can't last but i am enjoying the ride. :D
Fingers crossed this keeps the high note all the way thru.

I think, i know the identity of the ghost 👻👻, but still, this is becoming more creepy.👹👹
“He’s mad at the dark,” Timmy said. “He doesn’t like it.”
Sam rushed across the floor and knelt in front of the boy, gripping his tiny shoulders.
“Who, Timmy? Who’s mad at the dark?”
But Timmy wouldn’t say. He wrapped his arms around Sam’s neck and closed his eyes.

Timmy is a riot! 😂
“Will you carry me too?” Timmy asked.
“No.”
“Can I wear the leash?”
“Sure,” I said. I unclipped the collar from Thumper’s throat and clipped it around Timmy’s neck. We passed Mrs. Lindquist, who lives down the block.
She bent over Timmy and patted his head. “Is this man hurting you?” she asked.
“Woof!” Timmy said.
“Is he normal?” she asked.
I smiled and said, “Define normal.”

The sex is great and realistic. A gay male author sure knows how to get things right, LOL.

"He looked like a tiny submissive, waiting for his Dom to come along and whap him with a whip." Is not an appropriate observation of a 4 year old. Neither is a 4 year old saying “Don’t watch. I know you like boys.” When getting ready for a bath. The author evidently knows very little about children.
