Status Updates From The Book of Mormon

First "Amaleki," now "Amulek." Smith really seems to like that name (which God commanded to be erased from memory).

"And behold, [Jesus] shall be born of Mary, at Jerusalem which is the land of our forefathers."

Um. Jesus was rather famously born in BETHLEHEM, at least according to the New Testament.

A generous interpretation is that Smith is using "Jerusalem" to stand for the whole "land of our forefathers." The term "Zion" can mean Jerusalem or the entire Land of Israel, but I don't think "Jerusalem" is ever used that way.

It's hard to tell what's a grammar mistake and what's just the weird phrasing of Smith's Ye Olde Butcherede Englishe, but "which is of more importance than they all" does not sound right even by Shakespearean standards.
