reading through the context of the book my first round felt a lot like work -- but that's because i wasn't ready for it. now giving it another go i strongly appreciate much of the historical context siri provides. i'm still contemplating whether i'll jump through the runes or read as they're presented in the book.

Bless this book for confronting the baggage of Heathenry, talking about white supremacist usage of these symbols, and calling out specific movements right at the start. Siri Vincent Plouff is definitely going on my list of the new canon of Heathen authors moving us away from the yikes authors of the past 30 years.
