Status Updates From Breakthrough (Red Zone, #2)

Efram and Flick looked over the game videos of the their playing called Rhodes. Flick notices that they were running plays off hand signals. The first defensive play of the game Flick gave Efram signals on what the offense was doing. Coach Colby was watching Flick giving Efram signals so he sent Flick of the field. During Halftime Efram was frustrated that flick was not giving him signals.

Efram felt like he was dying during the game. He asked his coach why doesn't he use hand signals for plays. Maria Mae told him that the other team run pass plays after a first down.

Efram was nervous for his first game. His mom seen his football team on television and said that Troy is crazy over football. Coach Zachary has confidence that his team will win.

Efram met a cheerleader and wanted to be good friends with her. Marimae the cheerleader liked talking to Efram. He asked shane for a ride home and shane was asking him a lot of questions.

An officer showed up at Efram's house. Efram thought he did something wrong and his mother was trying to figure out what was going on. Officer Sloan came to congrat Efram for being on the Troy high school football team and gave him a basket of food.

Coach Zachary told Efram to tackle anyone who runs with the ball towards him. Efram tackle the half back eight yards back while the ball and the half back's helmet went out of bounds. His body never felt fiber until after practice.

Coach Zachary was explaining to Efram what do to for his position. This was his first time being at practice. One coach was being sour to him the whole practice.

Efram and Flick talked about how he was going to play football this school year. Flick stayed for Efram first practice to judge him. The coach wanted to see if Efram can prove him.

Efram wen home to ask his mother if he can play football. She finally made her decision and said he can play. Efram and Flick played the video game all night.

Coach Zachary convinced Efram to try out for the football team and he agreed. Efram made a new friend name Flick and they had the same classes. Him and Flick rode their bikes together on the way home and they had conversations about their life.

A kid named Efram justed moved to Troy Ohio. The first day of school his mom wanted him to ride his bike to school with his helmet just for safety. His first day of schools is at Troy Central .

Efram and the Trojans lost their game. Efram however had a pic six and the team and coaches congratulated him.Later efram went home to flicks house to spend the night.Flick was telling him about the schemes of football.They looked online and found troy's next opponent and they studied plays for the next game.

Efram gets up the next day and it is game day.He is very nervous and all day he can feel the anticipation for the game. Efram gets very nervous in the locker room.He hypes up with the team and they took the field.They came out slow and fell to a deficit of 24-7 and headed back into the locker room at the half.They get yelled at by coach Z and they are about to go back out for the second half

Efram has game day the next day and all he can think bout is plays and his responsibilities.Later a police officer comes to Efram's house and gives them a welcome basket for the Trojan football team. Efram goes to a football party and meets flicks sister they start to like each other and then efram comes home and gets ready for the game the next day.

Efram goes out to football practice for the first time.Coach Z sees potential in him.He tells their starting running back to run a play so he can see what Efram has got.They all were expecting devon to run him over but Efram did it to him.He got lots of praise for that.Later he goes back and talks to flick and goes home to eat.

Efram comes home from school and he convinces his mom to play.He told her about all of the scholarships and different things for college>They are low income so she said yes and she could tell that Efram wanted to play badly.Efram and flick ride together to school and Efram tells how he is very nervous about playing.Flick calms him down and Efram is ready to go to practice that afternoon.

Efram made a new friend.His name is flick and he helps him around school.They ride home together and they talk about their interests. Efram tells him that they can hangout. Later hen Efram got home he was trying to convince his mom so he could play football.She keeps denying it

There is a new kid named Efram .He is new from Arizona and he starts his first day at troy.He is nervous about his first impression.He walks into the school and all of the people admire how big he is.One of the coaches call him a hoss when he walks into his classroom.

Efram wants Coach Colby gone. He decides Flick helps more by just a few tips. He goes over to Flick's house and they find footage of the next team they plays' games. They study it and get a good idea of the other teams strategies. Efram gets an idea. FLick is going to sneak in to the game on the sideline and be a mini-coach, acting as a yearbook staff man.

The first game begins. Efram is pumped up and finally excited about something in Troy. As the game goes on, Efram realizes the other team is out coaching them. He tries to tell the coaches but they just yell at him. Flick realizes some things and lets Efram know. Together, they will be unstoppable.

Efram goes to a pizza party with the team and coaches. There, he meets Flick's siter. He finds her attractive and she likes him too. Shane offers to give him a ride home so he accepts it. Shane starts to diss Flick and Efram stands up for him. He tells Shane to shut up and that he'll choose who are his friends. As he gets home, Efram thanks Shane for the ride. Shane tells him not to mention it with a straight face.

Efram finishes up practice after being moved all around the field. He destroys one of the best players on the team which surprises everyone. They decide he is the starting safety. Efram goes home with Flick and gets ready for tomorrow's practice. He is beginning to like the game of football.

Efram's mom let's him play after hours of begging. He sees football as a chance to make money, not to have fun. Flick and Efram play video games and begin to become closer friends. On Efram's first day at football, he does good but has trouble getting used to running in pads.

Efram goes to his first day of school. He is stopped by Coach Z, the football coach in the middle of the hallway. Coach asks him to come out for the team but his mom is very picky about safety. Coach promises him a scholarship after 4 years if he sticks to it. Efram wants it because money is scarce around his house. He meets Flick and the quickly become friends. The start to ride to and from school together.
