The magic system is very original and the setting is fantastic, but there is just so much dialogue and exposition it becomes really boring.

The characters are also not my favorite. It took me a while to figure out why the protagonist acts the way she does and her love interest feels very flat.

I already know what's gonna happen and I'm not entertained enough so I'm dropping it.

Very high fantasy in a way im not use. Different than anything Ive ever read. Very original

Really enjoying the female characters, and the magic system is intriguing. There's a strong sense of the world gates.

I got this as an ARC--which means advanced, uncorrected copy. These will contain errors; there were enough to poke me out of an otherwise promising read so I decided to wait till it came out and buy it. And I'm so glad I did! It is shaping up to be exactly the kind of romantasy I enjoy most! Active heroine, nifty world, banter.... so much fun!

Love the detail of the worlds and how she describes the magic.
