Everything that just happened upon the Marietta and Vivacia had me more enthralled than a book has made me in a long time. I was THERE the entire time. Unbelievable writing. Heart is aching.

Wintrow coming into his Captain Era.

Kennit is a true “anti-hero”. He is a genuinely bad guy, who does bad things and thinks bad thoughts. He is selfish and abhorrent - but due to Hobb’s ability to make me see into his mind, what he thinks and feels on an emotional level, it allows me to also somehow root for him. Nothing is as cool as him coming into his element as captain at the helm with Etta. SO COOL!

OH FUCK YEAH BABY IS THIS GONNA BE KENNIT V KYLE? Please. Please.

I’ve only just realised that the Serpents call the different ships “Providers”. Are they perhaps searching for a live ship to follow? Considering how much it’s effecting Vivacia - perhaps it’s their strange poisons they share together for the visions?

This genuinely is SO heart wrenching. I fear the end of this book.

This genuinely might be the most evocative and vivid description I’ve ever read. My heart is in my throat whilst I’m reading it. Great stuff.

Kyle might be the biggest douche bag I have ever read. My dislike for him is firmly in the hatred category. If he doesn’t get proper justice at some point in this series I’m going to be ticked. But Robin didn’t do me wrong in the last series so I’m anticipating gleefully experiencing his demise 😂

who lied and said this trilogy was bad and just needed to be read quickly and maybe even skipped?? cause this is good (but I don’t care for kennit and his chapters)
