I’m enjoying the story itself but some of the dialogue really takes me out of the story.

forget about the time travel or magical sorcery elements... the most unrealistic thing about this book is the scene where Sir Griffin inspires a group of strangers in the doctor's waiting room to join in an a cappella rendition of UPTOWN FUNK

Can't believe I didn't even think about the immunity problem. Sir Griffin strolling into the 21st century with a 15th century microbiome. He's going to eat a single chicken nugget and die on the spot

the way Emily's Google search returns no results until she spells Griffin's name correctly, as if both A) Google doesn't allow for fuzzy search and B) anyone was spelling their name in a standardized way in 1428 England

1. should be speaking Chaucerian Middle English imho
2. knights be racist against ethnic groups that don't exist anymore
3. name drops Netflix, home of The Knight Before Christmas. Startling. Also name drops Tumblr, MCR, and Panic! so you know she was 15 in 2011
4. idea: chisel him apart so she has to talk to a pile of dust
