Status Updates From Venom (2021-2024) #33

A bit jarring jumping it into the blood hunt event, but the Captive is a really cool concept, if a bit too human-looking in design. I’m surprised they didn’t straight up resurrect Lee Price. Probably for the best!

The artwork was stunningly perfect for this issue, though. It’s what keeps it at five stars. It truly captured (ha) Venom’s despair and heartbreak. His loneliness and depression. A sad issue.

Dylan and the Venom symbiote are separated. Lonely and desperate, the symbiote seeks out Lee Price who was once its host in a cementary. The symbiote encounters a different Lee Price - zombiote! Meanwhile, Dylan also encounters a zombie of his own!
