Ugh this is so slow. Nothing revolutionary either… I just don’t care. I’ve had to read about them doing laundry and making breakfast too many times to be interested anymore. 🙄

Ugh. I love Raeta’s writing… but so far this is very boring. It’s very much ordinary tasks and mundane things. Hopefully something happens soon. I know this author is known for crushing hearts, but so far I’m just bored.

Books are something that time has not erased; humanity will always crave a world outside their own. What better way to immortalize Sam than to share him with the world?

Lil’s opening line: She sits at the same bench, in the same park, every night.

The whisper is loud between them, heavy in a way that only the most important promises can be.

She blinks them away, angry that he could ever believe he is a footnote when in reality he is the only part of her life that has been worth reading.” ~ the way their relationship started with telling stories. Lily telling stories of the past and Sam giving them stories of their future…and how they’re tying back to their love story now…omg, it’s just so poetic.

“I want to paint the future with you.”

It is not the endearment that makes her uncomfortable, it is the compliment. The one she was used to hearing in her old life was too similar - uttered from mouths of men and women alike as if being beautiful was all a girl in her position could aspire to. As if that was all she was worth. She doesn’t want Sam to call her beautiful- she just wants him to call her his.

“Sam?”
“Yeah?”
“I think I’m in love with you”

Gently she runs her fingers through his hair and is relieved when the action is rewarded with a sigh. There are words resting on his tongue - she can tell by the way he inhales deeply; as if to fuel his courage, only to sputter soundlessly. She waits patiently, because if anyone understands the elusiveness of words (particularly the important ones) it is her. - I mean…COME ON. How poetic **sigh**
