ch 19: "We should have a joint party. My forty-eighth your twenty-ninth?"
"Yep. There’s twenty-one years between us." His face paled.
"Twenty years is nothing. Are you worried about it?"

omg!!! It's basic math, and even then, calculators are extremely accessible. That's a 19-year difference, not 20 or 21. My copy is an arc so I really hope this was fixed.

ch 18: "There’s no need to apologise. For me? I’m honoured I was the one to give that to you. I knew you were a virgin."

Despite the words, there's no passion. The delivery is just so mechanical. This has been an issue throughout.

ch 17: "I’d be a bit lonely in this room, and I’d get fat from eating the chocolate."

This book really doesn't deal with body issues in a positive way. There's so much fat-phobia. And I'm not saying it's shameful to be fat, but at this point Sylvain knows about Vince's struggles with his body image so surely he knew to phrase this a bit more sympathetically. But this is a romance(TM) so of course Vince didn't mind.

ch 11: "Words that were difficult for a teenage Vince to hear."

How would Sylvain know? I guess he's omniscient ha!

ch 10: "Lip-reading, although they’ve also developed their special form of sign language. I know a little, but this is nothing like I’ve seen. Being twins, they have a special bond."

lol what? 😅

ch 2: "Tomorrow. Tomorrow would be the start of the new me."

I feel this on a visceral level. I hope he is able to get out of the "tomorrow" funk.

Theo's not very mature is he? Vince was right: shallow.

Another case where I'm adding status updates one year late. But I'm cleaning up my phone and this is still on my app and so I'm gonna add these updates before I delete it. Here goes...
