When I think and talk about belonging, I’m viewing and approaching it from a facilitator’s perspective. The teacher and students and their families. I had not intentionally considered or thought about belonging from the community perspective. Who belongs and who has permission to do the research about the community? Community members do decide. This is essentially to forming life-long partnerships.
